Description

Probate of an Estate

Probate! Someone died. Now the dreaded Probate Process. In layman’s terms, Probate means taking a decedent’s name off of an asset and transferring the asset to a living person. The Executor is responsible for advertising for creditors, paying the decedent’s bills, collecting deceased’s assets, and distributing the assets as set forth in the decedent’s Will to his or her Heirs and Beneficiaries. The Danda Law Firm is skilled at the Georgia Probate Process. Our firm eliminates the stress and confusion associated with filing a Probate Petition, including, securing the signatures of Heirs and publishing the Creditor Notice in the newspaper. With our help a Georgia Probate becomes a turnkey procedure for the Executor.

Last Will and Testament

Admit it or not, we all leave this earth at some point. A Last Will and Testament is your opportunity to write the rules to your personal Monopoly Game. A Will allows your Executor to pay your bills and distribute your estate to your family and others in a manner you deem appropriate. But, wait. If you do write a Will the State of Georgia has written one for you. The Will Georgia wrote is generic and it might not distribute your estate in a manner you deem best for your family. To ensure that your Estate Plan is implemented, it is in your best interest to write a Will distributing assets and electing to waive the formalities in the Georgia Estate Law that make Probate a difficult and costly process. The Danda Law Firm has drafted Wills and other Estate Planning Documents meeting the needs of client families since 1979.

Trust Documents

A Trust is a document in which an individual transfers title and control of assets to a Trustee and removes ownership of those assets from the Grantor’s estate. Trusts take many forms. A Trust can be Revocable or Irrevocable. The Grantor can establish a Testamentary Trust in his or her Will, an Inter Vivos Trust, a/k/a a Living Trust, or Special Needs Trust among others. Trusts are created for many reasons. A Trust establishes the Grantor’s specific rules for the management and distribution of property upon incapacity, death or other provisions established by the Grantor in the Trust. The Danda Law Firm strives to prevent our Seniors from out-living their money AND assisting our Seniors leaving a financial legacy for their families
