Licensed to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia, Mike is a skilled, versatile attorney with over 27 years’ experience practicing law. He has been a partner in a Washington DC law firm and has served as an officer and in-house counsel of an events management company. Mike launched his own practice in the beginning of 2004 in order to apply his skills to representing clients in all walks of life.
Specializing in estate planning and small business representation, Mike is a magna cum laude graduate of Bowdoin College and the National Law Center of George Washington University. Mike has given lectures on various topics throughout his legal career, including estate planning, to the diverse Northern Virginia/DC community.
Mike is active in community affairs. He served as President of the Friends of the Torpedo Factory Art Center, Inc., and is currently on the Board of both the Friends of the Torpedo Factory Art Center and the Jane Franklin Dance Company. Mike is past President of the Arlington Business and Civic Circle (www.abcc.biz), an organization in which Northern Virginia business professionals help each other as well as the community at large. He also volunteered for the Whitman-Walker Clinic and serves as legal counsel to the Alexandria Gay & Lesbian Community Association. In addition to being an active member of the Virginia and the District of Columbia Bars, Mike belongs to the Alexandria Bar Association.
